Self-motivation is perhaps the most overlooked topic of our generation, yet it remains essential for inspiring young people. I've struggled with this aspect of life, but I've now come to understand its true meaning. (I think)
After a conversation with a close friend, I felt compelled to write about how we incorporate self-motivation into our daily lives. The challenge is that our lives often revolve around routines.
Most wouldn't consider getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom as self-motivation. I'm sure it took some self motivation to do so... Right?
Many think self-motivation involves scaling mountains or perhaps writing a novel in a month. Others believe it means waking up early to run before sunrise. But is that really the case?
So, what exactly is self-motivation?
“The ability to motivate yourself without external support, strictly guiding your actions based on your mind’s commands to benefit you. It's a mindset that can develop over time but requires training and discipline to reach a level of discomfort and challenge.” That’s my definition!
To put it simply, self-motivation is ‘the ability to motivate yourself to do what needs to be done, regardless of how you feel.’ But if that’s the case, how can we train our minds to achieve it?

First, let me ask: Is waking up for school self-motivation, or is walking six miles to the gym in the rain an example? Both are, but one demands more drive, determination, and willpower than the other. The question is – HOW DO WE REACH THAT POINT?
Purpose – What do you want to achieve? Identify the reason behind your goal. You might be motivated to fix the TV to catch up on a tv series, which is self-pleasing. Achieving success, popularity, or recognition requires more than just personal feelings because your reason must outweigh mood swings. You need a compelling reason to endure cold weather, pain, and exhaustion. Your purpose will be your first drive. Make sure that your reason transcends personal gain, because you're more likely to settle when things get hard.
A positive mindset – Maintain a positive outlook, eliminate negative thoughts that hold you back. Learn to ignore negativity and embrace positivity because your body may crave rest, and motivating yourself to climb an imaginary ladder can introduce numerous doubts.
Recap:
First, remember your purpose. Don’t forget why you started, and ensure your reason is stronger than the challenges ahead...
Finally, nourish your mind with positivity. Surround yourself with positive and hardworking people, and incorporate positive music, movies, and ideas into your daily routine to stay motivated.
Remember – “Your excuses will try to find a reason, but your reason will NEVER find an excuse.”

Your final quote:: “Your excuses will try to find a reason, but your reason will NEVER find an excuse.”

Unraveled work 👌🙏 God is good giving us the strength
Well written, the part about going to the bathroom in the middle of the night sealed the deal. If you actually ‘need’ to do something per say, you always will find the motivation as long as you actually are physically and mentally capable. I do have one issue with this, I don’t know about staying positive cause it’s not really something that’s as simple as it’s instructed if you understand where I’m coming from.
This was much needed 😌
